Its hard for me to imagine there’s anyone who doesn’t enjoy Bob James’ music. Around the time of this show I heard a fine live performance on satellite radio. Simply stellar.

This year’s Dylan Festival in Warwick featured Johnny Rosch, who I’ve enjoyed seeing on the Upper West Side and around the NY area. Playing with him were Jim Weider and the other guys from the Band and related outfits.

Unfortunately, Paul Barrere couldn’t make it for this tour, and we hope for him to be back in shape by next time. This show was a joyful celebration of the Feat. Bill Payne stepped up to take more of the stage leader role, and Larry and Theresa added wonderful musical touches all throughout the night. A special treat to have Steve Bernstein on horns with former members of the Levon Helm Band. The horns came out to the front (as they did with Levon’s Band), and Fred joined the horn section on trumpet for a little while.
What an energized and uplifting show by the Imposters. So happy to see Elvis on stage after his surgery last year. Always phenomenal to see him with Steve and Pete, and this seems to be getting to be a regular thing at the Cap, which I have no complaints about.
